| The National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions and the Virtual Pediatric Intensive Care Unit have completed development of their Virtual PICU Performance software. This software will allow collection of a wide variety of patient-specific Pediatric Critical Care practice information. It is hoped that this software will facilitate data gathering, individual ICU practice and support research studies in Pediatric Critical Care. In addition, practice definition and further research and aggregated data will be facilitated.
This partnership between NACHRI and the Virtual PICU will continue beyond joint development of the software. NACHRI will be providing distribution and Help Desk in software support services to the Virtual PICU community. In addition, they will be providing data management services under a contract between the Virtual PICU and NACHRI.
It is anticipated that this partnership will further extend the software functionality and provide support for Pediatric Critical Care practices nationally and internationally.
